Scott Sternfeld is a Senior Technical Leader at EPRI, leading the national Outage Data Initiative and serving as a technical resource for EPRI’s Information, Communication and Cyber Security (ICCS) programs. His hands-on experience with engineering, planning, security, and NERC CIP compliance afford him a unique skillset that often positions him as the “IT/OT translator”. Scott was previously responsible for the Smart Grid Substation and Cyber Security Research Labs. He has served on the Communications and Cyber Security Technical Committees for the DistribuTECH conference, and has a BSME from the University of Illinois and is a member of IEEE and CIGRE.
