Eric Hatter

Eric Hatter of American Electric Power Service Corporation leads a group of developers in supporting real-time EMS and System Operator decision support tools and Operational Technology. He has over 29 years of utility experience in the areas of EMS/SCADA, and Transmission Operations. He actively represents AEP as an advisor on the EPRI P161 “Information, Communication and Cyber Security” (ICCS) program. In 2015, he received the inaugural EPRI “Interoperability Leadership Award” for his collaborative work with EPRI to promote a standards based approach to network model management utilizing the Common Information Model (CIM), and is the UCA CIM User Group Utility Co-Chair. Eric is also the Program Manager for the AEP Network Model Management Improvement program, which is charged with designing, and implementing a CIM based approach for coordinating operations, planning and protection models. He received a B. S. EET degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
